"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.(Matthew 5:9)" For Officer Marano's family and co-workers...I pray that the peace which surpasses all understanding will be granted to you. I lost my Deputy on October 3, 2009 and while I miss him more than words can express, I take comfort in knowing that he died doing what he loved. Officer Marano will live on in your hearts and minds. He patrols a beat in Heaven now. Rest in Peace and God Speed Officer Marano.

Rest in peace brother. I will not forget hearing on the news that a fellow brother was killed in the line of duty just last night as I drove that same exact stretch of freeway coming back from training just maybe an hour before you were killed. We'll take it from here.

Rest easy now my brother. Heaven's gates open wide when another hero goes home. You did your job well. We will never forget you.

To the Marano Family,

It is so easy to lose faith when these tragedies strike in our lives. Please remember, God has perfect timing. He knows the need of every heart. I pray his love and strength will touch all of you as you cope with this terrible event. Chris is home now, in the arms of his Lord. I know in my heart he will live there forever.
