In God’s Arms

So many names

Upon the wall,

And God’s arms

Holds them all.

Fathers and sons,

Sisters too,

Died for the badge,

Died for the blue.

Hopes and dreams

Died also that day,

With their last breath

Such a sad price to pay.

Though others will follow

In their shoes,

There’s room for them

In God’s arms too.

In God’s loving arms

These men shall ever rest,

Their badges shining proudly

Upon their blue chests.

A little under a month ago I posted the following on the reflections for our Seattle Officer Tim Brenton. It is hard to take in that within this last month our area has lost 5 wonderful officers....

Please know that your fellow officers are heartbroken and in shock and horror at this horrible crime. Thank you for getting up everyday, putting on your badge, and protecting our streets. Our Officers find little recogintion in their duties and deserve the love, support, and respect of all those they serve so selflessly.

As a wife, I pray that your family finds solace and comfort in the loving arms of the departments that surround you with such support.

Greater love has no man than he who is willing to lay down his own life to protect others he does not even know. You are a hero in the truest sense of the word. You fought the fight of good versus evil and God will now reward you for your efforts.

It hurts so bad to see anyone lose their life but, the senseless violence against police officers is unreal. These 4 officers put their lives down to protect the citizens of the city the worked for only to be shot down life dogs in the gutter. If only 1 person in that diner had a carry permit maybe the suspect could have been taken out before he gunned down these 4 brave souls. Good shot to the officer who took out the target and GOD speed to the officers who did not make it back home. May GOD have mercy.

My sympathy, prayers and thoughts to the family, friends, and coworkers of Officer Owens. May it comfort them to know the monster that did these horrific murders will no longer be able to harm another person. I especially pray for your daughter, knowing that daughters and their dads have a special bond. May you find peace with God and know that your daughter will be cared for. You will never be forgotten!

This is for all 4 families of this tragedy....Sadly, this has been the reality for my family, as we lost a precious member of our family in the line of duty in North Carolina on April 8 of this year. Sadly, the pain is horrible, the sadness is overwhelming and at times, paralyzing....
Take comfort in your friends and family and hte support of the LEO's..it is a brotherhood like none I have ever seen.
Praying fervently for your families....thank you for the service.
