Greg,
Having a hard time dealing with you not being in this world with us. I stood next to you for years on the drumline, grew up together, sbared dreams and laughter. You threw like a girl, thats why we always made you drive the getaway car in our late night/early morning eggings of the Los Altos drummers. What a wild ride we had those years. You are the brother I didnt have. You will always have that great looking family of yours honoring you and your legacy. Wow, my friend the hero. You probably saved bystandards and never knew what you had done. We all know what you did Greg. I remember The Tournament of Champions at Chaffey College we performed at. You told me you wanted a "Drummers have fast hands" button like mine, I let you ha e mine. You thought it was Christmas! 24 years later you proved it, drew down and shot that fugger. I will think of that button and you often in my lifetime. I love you brother.

I and my family wish to express our sincere sympathy to Greg’s entire family and friends. This is not the way that any of us think that we are going to leave this world. The person was dealt justice by the hands of one of our other brother officers. Our prayers are with everyone in this time of great loss. Greg and the other officers and family belong to the largest family in the world, The Law Enforcement Family. Our prayers are with you all now and for always. May God bless everyone.

Rest easy blue warrior, your shift is done.

Thank you for your service, courage, bravery, dedication and sacrifice. Your brothers and sisters in blue and your family will carry on, tho with heavy hearts and the citizens of Lakewood, current and past, will remember you, forever.

I might have met you, I might not. But I know that my family that still reside in the area were lucky to have such a warrior in their midst.

There are no word that can express the pain the families are feeling right now. These 4 officers are the true meaning of heroes. Officer Richards, you are a hero. Even though mortally wounded, you fought the scumbag to the end and managed to shoot him. Your actions define the thin blue line. You fought for your fellow officers, so this loser of society would not get away. I will always be reminded of your bravery in the face of danger. To Officer Kelly of the Seattle P.D.--My hats off to you. Thankyou for putting this piece of garbage in the place he belongs--Hell

"We Remember the Officers"
We remember the officers who changed our lives,
The men and woman who protected us day and night,
People who respect for their dedication to the cause,
For when faced with danger, they never even pause.

We remember the officers who always stood true,
Whatever the color of uniform, brown gray or blue,
With pride and integrity they say "To serve and protect",
For the giving of their life, we offer our respect.

We remember the officers who we never really knew,
Persons strong enough to answer the challenge are few,
With heavy hearts we mourn the officers in eternal rest,
There's more to these people than the badge on their chest.
