Dave,

You made me laugh every day I worked with you. I still can't believe you are gone. All the times we talked and laughed are still vivid in my mind. I still hear your voice and see that smile...that warped look in your eyes that we all loved. You were one of the best cops I have ever known. Everyday I drive past that spot and get tears in my eyes. You were such a great person and we won't get over losing you. Thanks for being there for me and my family. You were always a phone call away...we miss you brother!

I can't believe you are gone. None of this makes sense to me. You were a brilliant person to be around and I will miss you. Keep an eye on the rest of us

I don't know where to begin. I have cried everyday since you passed. You are such a big part of my memories from the academy. You made me laugh, you took care of me, you laughed at me and I am grateful for every moment I shared with you.

I know you left us while doing what you loved, but it doesn't make it any easier.

I will cherish the times I spent with you, our private moments, and that "movie" will never be the same again. That stupid, stupid movie is now very important to me, because you made me sit through it even though you knew I hated every minute of it.

I am so happy that I knew you, you made such a difference in my life!

P.S. I still hate that damn loop!
