Reflections for Police Officer Timothy Q. Brenton

Such a senseless loss. I hope this coward is found and dealt with in the appropriate manor that is well deserved.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends, and the Seattle Police Department.

This was a hideous act against all law enforcement. Officer Brenton did not have a chance in this incident. I praise Officer Sweeney for her actions in returning fire. I just hope she struck the suspect. God Bless Officer Brenton and his family. I hope and pray Officer Sweeney recovers and serves the citizens of Seattle.

Brenton family, theres nothing I can say to help with your pain right now. Hold tight to each other and over time it will ease. God bless.

Brenton's Police family, SEND THE MESSAGE, It's time to shut the city down. No dealing drugs, no robbing, they can't even spit on the sidewalk till someone gives it up. Show the criminal element in your town that killing a cop comes with severe consequences.

Words cannot express the sadness we feel nor the deep sense of loss at the death of this fine young officer, husband, father.
His family, partner and fellow officers will remain in our prayers and we will pray for justice to be served on those who perpetrated this cowardly act.
God be with you all.

Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called sons of God. Matthew 5:9.

Rest in the arms of the Lord for your work on earth is done. Watch over us from heaven now just as you watched over us here on earth. Although I never knew you, you and all law enforcment officers have my deepest respect.

My prayers are with your family and friends at this sad time, may they find some peace in the knowledge that you watch them from heaven.

Tim was a great guy and good officer. I will always reflect on the times that we spent together on patrol when he was my FTO in 2005. I came to the department as a lateral and Tim had done the same four years before. He helped make the transition easier for me. He was always thoughtful and courteous and he never hesitated to answer any questions. He also never hesitated to remind me that this wasn't my old department when I complained about something that was done different at the Seattle Police Dept. Even though he was my FTO it felt as if we were partners.
Tim and I would later work together in the East Prec. on 3rd watch before I moved to the North Prec. Our friendship carried on and we would see each now again and he never hesitated to ask me how things were going.
I'm going to miss you buddy.

I met Officer Brenton while on FTO at the East precinct. He was the one guy who did not matter if you were a student or a veteran he treated you the same. When I saw the picture of him in his military uniformed I noticed the airborne wings on his chest. He was not only a brother on the force, but a airborne brother also. I am going to miss your smile, and your sense of humor around the precinct. I only met you for a short period of time, but it seems like a lifetime. I know in heaven you will be just as great as you were here on Earth. Good-bye brother and rest well.

No stone will be left unturned in finding this coward who gunned you down in cold blood. Your family at S.P.D. and other agencies are working relentlessly now and will continue to do so until this case is solved.
You were a great guy and will be missed by all of us at S.P.D., your family and the Community you served so well. This just breaks my heart and prayers and thoughts with your family.
Rest in peace, Tim.

Tim was my friend. I worked with him, and his brother, Matt, in Laconner. Tim and I left La Conner together and were hired at Seattle on the same day. I will miss him. What hurts me most is the pain that Matt is going through. They were always close. Matt, I am there for you. Whenever, or whatever you need.

My condolences to Officer Brenton's family and to the members of the Seattle PD for their lost. His sad and tragic death is a reminder that those who wear the uniform to "protect and serve" are indeed the "thin blue line". May it bring comfort that Canadian police officers share your lost. Officer Brenton, you will always be remembered for your service and may you rest in peace brother.

Hello, I didn't know officer Brenton, but would like to send prayers to his family and friends. My brother is a Maple Valley officer and I am just so humbled by the courage and sacrifice that he gives day in and day out to provide strangers with safety and comfort. Thank you Officer Brenton for being an inspiration and a hero to so many. May God hold your hand.

Rest my brother, your recruit tried to avenge you and she did good, which means you taught her well. The fact that you were an FTO tells us what we need to know about what your peers and chain of command thought of you. I am proud to have shared the same profession with you and am saddened by your loss. I've been doing this for 30 years now and it never gets easier, seeing too much of this lately.
