Dear Tim,

What I will miss most is not being able to hear you laugh or see you smile, which you so easily did. I loved talking with you and working with you. We had some fun times working third east, especially some of those roll calls with you know who! Thank you for being a great part of my job. You may be gone, but you and your sacrifice will never be forgotten. You are terribly missed.

To one who chose a life dedicated to service to his country and community, you will surely be missed and the world is a lesser place due to your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with your family, friends, and coworkers. You have suffered a tremendous loss. God be with you. To the animal whose cowardly act took this outstanding officer from us, you will be missed by no one when your time comes. God willing, that will be soon.

Thank you to all police officers, firefighters, military, EMT's, for your service. Officer Brenton made the extreme sacrifice. I cry every time I hear of a death to one of those who work so hard to make our town, county, state or Country safe. I thank you. My prayers to Officer Brenton's family, and thank you for your sacrifice.

RIP brother officer. I went by your memorial today and saw a lot of flags and flowers placed there in memory of your life and dedication to this job. I also saw a grim determination in the eyes of your fellow cops to make this as right as they can. Know they are working around the clock to bring you justice and care for your loved ones. Watch over us may God bring peace to your family and friends.

To Officer Brenton's Family, I am sorry for your loss. It is a sad day indeed when Law Enforcement loses one of it's sons. He will be missed by all. From his photo he looks like an outstanding professional, may he rest in peace.

To the officer whom he was training, You acted in the manner in which you were supposed to, you stood your ground and acted with courage. Stay the course and remember your brother. May you have a long career in this field. Take time to recover and heal before pressing on.

I did not know Ofc. Brenton, as I retired from KCSO in 1996. Over my career, there were 3-4 of my fellow officers killed in the line of duty by criminal action. Living with the possibility every day is bad enough, but dealing with the reality is even worse. I cannot fathom the depth of your sorrow, only pray for closure and Divine Intervention in healing for Mrs. Brenton, the children, and the rest of the family. Every officer that goes on duty and prowls the depths of depravity of our society is a hero to me. I shed my tears for fellow officers dying so, and it does not get less poignant with the passing of years in retirement. We are brothers and sisters under the badge. God bless you and yours with the strength of his love and solace.
