For Lieutenant Benjamin Santiago-Fragoso and
Agent Jorge Sanchez-Santiago:

Our duty as law officers is fraught with peril and none greater than in Puerto-Rico where one only has to view the ODMP long list of fallen officers to realize this fact.

We all have had to transport prisoners during our duty and realize that no matter the vigil and the caution the possibility of a prisoner resisting forever faces us. We regret that our brothers Ben and Jorge have become the victims of yet another scoundrel who would strike by surprise as only the worst of cowards can do. Here, but for the grace of God go any one of us.

We pray for the families of both officers, their friends, co-workers and all who care about them. Both officers have risen to the rank of hero among heros and will be welcomed by the legion of brave law offices who have preceeded them into eternity.

To Lieutenant Benjamin Santiago-Fragoso and Agent Jorge Sanchez-Santiago I proudly render each of them a final salute.
