It is so hard when a law enforcement officer dies doing their job. Sometimes we have another human to blame and that helps focus our grief. But in this case, there is no blame.

I am so sorry for your loss. I pray that God comfort his family and brothers and sisters in Law Enforcement.

Thank you Deputy Blake. May we see you again some day in the glory of God.

I first met Dep. Blake when I went to work for Burnet County in early 2006. He was working in the jail at the time and was always such a nice guy. He treated the inmates like humans and was very decent to them. I was hoping that he would have went to work the streets before I left the agency but it didn't happen. I was glad to hear that he did finally make it to patrol. I knew he would have done a good job. I pray that the Lord continues to comfort Dep. Blake's family. Jesus says it himself in the Book of Matthew, chapter 5, "Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called children of God."
