Your heroism and service is honored today, the 85th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Special Agent Hall, you showed courage and integrity and simply wanted justice. The low life who killed you might have gotten a few years in jail but risked being hanged over a few dollars. It goes to show what kind of filth you were dealing with.

My prayers also go out to the Covington Police Chief who, after all these years has no doubt passed from this world. Despite his horrific wound, he managed to shoot your killer. He too is a hero.

Special Agent Hall, you stepped up and did a tough job in helping to protect one of America's most vital assets. The job of a Railroad Police Officer is never fully appreciated or at times even understood by the general public (or by the railroads themselves sometimes) yet women and men like you go out and do the job, day in and day out. You are a hero.

God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.
