Deputy Ray,
May God hold you in his loving arms, he gained an angel in heaven while we on earth lost a HERO.
To the family, I know your pain, hurt and grief your feeling. We walk the same path in life, as I also lost my son, 25 years old, almost a year ago in the line of duty. No words I can say will ease that pain. Just know you have family throughout the country to lean on, we'll always be here for you.
With deepest respect,

Dear Deputy Sheriff Christopher Ray,

I read this earlier today, after I completed my last night shift for the week. I was so shocked to hear this sad story. I recently just attended the memorial for Deputy Mike Gallagher who lost his life last week in an automobile accident in Lewis County, Washington. To hear that we lost another brother in the line of duty is heartbreaking to say the least.

I am so very sorry. Your story reminds me of my own journey. I am your age and have also just started my career. I just recently was released from FTO and have been on my own for a few months. I am deeply saddened that your life and career was cut so short. I know you lost your life serving your community and doing what you loved. Your brothers and sisters will continue to serve in your honor. You will not be forgotten, but you will be remembered. I will remember you everyday I put on my uniform and go to work. I will do my best to serve and protect in honor of you and all the officers that have lost their lives in the line of duty. God Bless you Deputy Ray.

To the family of Deputy Ray- I would like to send my deepest condolences. I never had the pleasure to work with or meet Deputy Ray, but he is a brother just the same. I hope you can find some sort of comfort and closure knowing Deputy Ray's Law Enforcement brothers and sisters all over the country will be mourning with you.

Rest East Deputy, see you on the other side.
