Corporal Roberts, Cindy did great in the Police Unity Tour. She advised me it was one of the hardest things she has ever done in her life. Its tough, but she is tougher. Thanks for keeping an eye on her.

This message is to all my fallen brothers/sisters who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving the City of Tampa. On Febuary 9th, 2011 we broke ground on an enhancement to the Tampa Police Monument. This project was done to provide the most honorable place to remember your service.

Some of the names on that monument had fallen before my time, however we all wore the same uniform and were family. This enhancement will remind your loved ones that we will never forget all of you nor the sacrifices you made. I am proud to be part of this and hope that you will be smiling down at the finished product. God bless you all and your families. RIP..your sacrifices are remembered daily through those who continue to serve.

Thinking of you and all of your loved ones on this first anniversary of you being called away from duty. For some the year has passed as if it was just yesterday, for others it has felt like a lifetime since they heard your voice, saw your smile and felt your touch. Continue to watch over all of your loved ones and keep them safe, you will never be forgotten.

Mike We lost two officers about two weeks ago. I know that you are showing them the way up there. Your wife has been so strong and was there for the wives of these two fine officers. Watch over your brothers and sisters down here. Rest in peace and show Dave and Jeff how you patrol those streets up there.

Mike...

You are thought of daily and so is your family. Several of us traveled to Tallahassee and Washington DC to honor you. Your son was so brave as he walked into the memorial wearing your uniform. He is going to be a great officer one day. We miss you. Our prayers are still with Cindy and Adam.

WELL I WAS WATCHING CHANNEL 8 NEWS WITH MY PARENTS AND THE NEWS REPORTER SAID THAT CORPORAL MICHAEL JOSEPH ROBERTS HAS BEEN SHOT BY A MAN WITH A SHOPPING CART FULL OF GUNS AND I THOUGHT TO MYSELF THIS KIND OF RIMINDS ME OF ANOTHER POLICE OFFICER JUST LIKE MIKE ROBERTS WHO ALSO GOT SHOT WHILE HE WAS ON DUTY AND HIS NAME WAS OFFICER J.D.TIPPIT AND HE GOT SHOT BY A LONE GUNMAN NAMED LEE HARVEY OSWALD AND IT HAPPENED TO J.D.TIPPIT JUST 45 MINUTES AFTER JOHN F.KENNEDY GOT SHOT BY LEE HARVEY OSWALD IN DALLAS,TEXAS ON NOVEMBER.22,1963 WHILE RIDING IN AN OPENED CAR BECAUSE IT HAD STOPPED RAINING THAT DAY AND WHILE JOHN F.KENNEDY AND HIS WIFE WAS RIDING IN THE BACK OF THE CAR AND JOHN CONNELLY AND HIS WIFE WERE RIDING UP FRONT OF THE PRESIDENT AND THE FIRST LADY AS THE CAR TURNED ON TO ELM STREET THE FIRST SHOT AND THEN THE SECOND SHOT AND THEN THE THIRD SHOT AND FROM WHAT I HAVE READ OR FROM WHAT I HAVE WATCHED FROM THE HISTORY CHANNEL IT WAS ALL ABOUT THE JOHN F.KENNEDY ASSASSINATION.SO THAT'S MY REFLECTION ON CORPORAL MICHAEL JOSEPH ROBERTS&JEFFERSON DAVIS TIPPIT MAY GOD BLESS THEM ALL AND ALL OF THE OTHER FALLEN POLICE OFFICERS TOO.

Mike,

We lost another great officer a couple of weeks ago. Please show Charlie the way. Although I am sure as strong willed as he is, he will help you with all the watches up there. We think about you daily, and keep Cindy and Adam in our prayers. They were and will always be a part of our family.
