Andy, I can't believe you are gone! The New Mexico State Police will never be the same. I will never forget that booming voice you had. I will also never forget the genuine care and concern you displayed for all the recruits. You pushed me when I wanted to quit and you wouldn't let me. I thank you for that. You are one of the main reasons that I am the officer that I am today. May you rest in peace.

May the lord comfort and guide your family during this difficult time. Your dedication and commitment to the citizens of your state often goes unnoticed, and under appreciated, however you have shown the sacrifice that LEO's face everyday. I pray that the lord gives your family the strength required in the minutes, hours, days, months, and years to understand this tragic event.

God Bless you Trooper, your mission, unfortunately cut short is completed, now RIP brother and keep that ever watchful Trooper eye over us all!

Wow. A true hero. I never cease to be amazed at how heroic my fellow warriors in blue are. I pray that I live up to such a high standard. May your family, friends, and coworkers soon be comforted by the fond memories of you and replace the sorrow they must now feel. May you rest peacefully in the arms of the LORD. Blessed are the peacemakers.

To Sgt. Andy Tingwall, all his family members and friends who call him beloved, and to his law enforcement family:

I was sorry to learn of Andy's death and extend my sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you have suffered. Words are insufficient to describe the sadness I feel for the Tingwall family. May you find comfort in your faith and the support of the law enforcement community.

There are many police survivors who share this same journey with you, and that community will be there to support you. Andy's memory will be forever honored and revered.

To his wife, I read in policelink the circumstances of you being the dispatcher who handled his transmission. I know that must have been so traumatic for you, but how comforting it must have been for Andy to hear your voice. Your courage and professionalism were amazing.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the years of distinquished service Andy gave to his community and the citizens of New Mexico and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on June 11, 2009.

If I could call the 1st Squadron to attention at this very moment and have them all salute you I know without a doubt the box would be packed full of teary eyes of those standing at strict attention and arms bent. Thank you just doesn't seem enough but it is from the depths of our hearts that we thank you and your family for serving our country and our beloved state! May you rest in the very lap of our loving God and know perfect peace.

Our prayers are with your family.

Don't worry about Leighann and the girls we will all step up and do our part to make sure they are taken care of. You will always be in my heart and prayers.
