Reflections for Trooper Joshua Daniel Miller

Angela,

A finer example could not be found. Joshua was the type of Police Officer we should all strive to be. I am deeply sorry for your loss. He served us all and paid the ultimate price. May his example teach others how to be the best we can.

Respectfully,

Police Officer

They all put the needs of that boy above their own and for that reason they are all heroes. Trooper Miller, along with his fellow Troopers and Officers involved in this incident, will always be true heroes. May God be with his family at this difficult time.

The Trooper heard the call for help and charged ahead
he did not waver, he did not bend.

His call of duty now at an end.
he did not waver, he did not bend.

We all stand tall, heads hung low
asking god why he took our hero.

Who did not waver, who did not bend
who so proudly protected us to the end.

God has given him a new shield
he has pinned upon his chest.

To protect you and guide you
through your tour.

So we don`t have to ask god why
another hero no more...

God Bless and God Speed Josh. You are a true American Hero. I'll never forget you, nor will a day go by that I won't try just a little bit harder because of you. You were a warrior in a time of need. A hero in a time of crisis. You will always be a soldier of the law. The Pennsylvania State Police won't be the same without you, brother.

As a RN who use to work in the Fayette County ER, we depended on and got very close to the PSP. They were a great group of men and women and always will be a guardian angel whether here on earth or from above. Trooper Miller gave the ultimate sacrifice and for that he will be rewarded far beyond what we can say or do for him. Thank you from the heart and rest in peace, there are no finer.

I attended Trooper Miller's service today, at the high school he graduated from. His brother Officers from all over came in force. I was touched by all of the people who lined the streets while we escorted him to his place of rest. My hats off to all of his brother Troopers, I believe you guys/girls did your fallen comrade justice today, it was a really touching service. Thinking about him on my long drive back I realized Trooper Miller was the kind of guy who made me proud to be a cop.
