To Lt. Greg Jonas, to all family members and friends who call him beloved, and to his law enforcement family:

I was sorry to learn of Greg's death and extend my sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you have suffered. Words are insufficient to describe the sadness I feel for the Jonas family. May you find comfort in your faith and the support of the law enforcement community.

There are many police survivors who share this same journey with you, and that community will be there to support you. Greg's memory will be forever honored and revered.

I am deeply saddened by this tragic news. Another of the best people on earth has fallen to an evil murderer. Greg Jonas was a man that left a lasting impression on everyone he met. I mentioned him to my current officers just a week before he was murdered. He was my FTO, my mentor, a fellow officer and a friend. Greg absence will be felt throughout the metro-east area by both officers and citizens alike. The Centreville/Alorton area and society itself, is a sadder and darker place without Greg in it. God Bless You Brother !
