Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Tom Rye Wilson, III

I drove the kids to school today and it hit home all over again when I did not see you or Betty sitting at the end of the driveway waiting on the bus. My heart hurts so badly, but I know that God had something more important and he needed the best to get it done right. You were such a positive influence on people and I know for me the world got a little bit dimmer because your not here anymore. You set the standard high my brother and I for one will strive to be as good as you were.

Tom was the officer/deputy that everyone wanted to be. The kind of guy to give you the shirt off his back without asking any questions. It still does not seem real. It is truely a sad day for us all that knew him. Tom touched many lives on a daily basis. Tom was a guy that gave his life to law enforcement and his family. Seems truely sinceless to loose him in a car accident. My heart goes out to his wife and kids. May God take your grief and bless your lives giving you peace.
Tom, I will truely miss you my brother. I am a better person just to have called you my friend. The loss of your friendship will be sadly missed in my life. We will remember you in our hearts forever. Rest in peace brother..for your watch is now over.
