Earl you were one of the best men I have ever known. I can't thank you enough for EVERYTHING you did for my Brett. You were his EVERYTHING. Today he has become a POLICE officer in Va. Beach. I pray that everything you instilled into him makes him the real man and wonderful officer that you were. God knew what your next call of DUTY was even though it's hard for us to understand. You truly are missed but I know you were needed in Heaven. Please continue to watch over Brett and keep him safe as he protects and serves. I miss you everyday. Your smile and kind words of encouragement meant the world to me. Until we meet again I am forever thankful our paths crossed ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Tamara Wescott

Earl is missed but never forgotten. His boots will never be filled by any of us but we will make sure that his memory lives on. He was the role model for every cop who knew him, but more importantly the family man that we all wanted to be like when the shift was over. We continue to mourn the loss of our good friend and mentor but know that he is celebrating every day in Heaven just as he did here on earth.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the third anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service to my home state and the birthplace of my son. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

I pray for solace for all those that love and remember you for I know that both the pain and pride are forever. Your family is in my heart's embrace. Thanks to your family and friends for sharing their memories and devotion to you through their refletions.

It's hard to believe that yesterday was 3 years Earl, but time goes so fast. I still remember getting the call from Rodney at 0545 that you had passed. Both I and Rodney broke down talking on the phone to each other.
You were always positive and cracking jokes, which kept me in stitches. You and Keith are the best supervisors I have ever had and I am glad I worked for and with you.

Hard to believe it's been 2 years. Seems like yesterday that we lost you. You were the kindest person and most upstanding law enforcment officer of which my son is following in your footsteps in another jurisdiction. Keep watching over us. We will all meet again soon.

Gobble Gobble! ... Happy Thanksgiving Buddy Row! ... Sitting at Central today, thinking of you ... I remember the days when we would have the spread and you would always stop by to nibble a few but would never take too much because you were 'watching your girlish figure', or so you said. You are missed more than you will ever know! I can hear you saying, the Turkey Trot Run, what in the world does someone want to run on Thanksgiving for, you cracked me up all the time ... Hope you are being served the biggest 'turkey leg' ever, I can't even imagine the spread you have & all your 'brother & sisters' alike to share it with ... No worries, the fam is all doing well, you would be so proud of your girls and Brett, oh do they have stories to tell, you just wait, I bet your ears are burning now! Keep watching down on us, there is always room for you in our lives ... You are loved and missed ...

Earl,
Tomorrow will be a year since you were taken from this world & your family. I'll never forget sitting on the lawn of the Capitol waiting for the memorial ceremony to begin when I got the call from my brother that you had been killed. When the nation has come together to honor those who were taken before you, your family and friends have just heard the terrible news and have begun their journey of living without you. You will never be forgotten. I pray your family will find peace one day!
