My brother, you did not die alone that fateful day,
We are still with you James, though God carried you away.
Upon your departure a piece from all of us was taken.
You leave behind a police department and community very much shaken.
What a tragedy, what a loss, to lose a great cop.
Though the moment is over, our tears will not stop.
Despite how short your life was, you did not die in vain.
You leave behind a legend with those that gave the same.
You gave of yourself unselfishly and saw this as more than a job.
You now have be rewarded in heaven, standing on the right hand side of God!

May God bless you in heaven my dear LVMPD brother!
