James I will never forget when my partner and I were working a Western High School football game OT gig and you came walking over to us. You introduced yourself as, Recruit James Manor. My partner and I couldn't believe you found time to coach HS football and study. After our brief halftime conversation my partner and I were impressed with you Jamie. Several months later my partner and I ran into you again at another OT gig, this time at the Palms Casino, and this time you were Officer Manor. We really couldn't talk because you were in field training, but I remember my partner and I both saying to you "you made it" and seeing you smile.

Still thinking about you

Remembering officer James Manor today. As a Below100 instructor here in Ohio, we use both Officer Beitel and Manor's stories to help drive home the point for officers to make sure they wear their seatbelts. It is sad what they endured, but their legacy goes on to help other officers make the choice while in their patrol cars. Thank you to the family for allowing us to use his situation to make a difference in this program.

Officer Manor had tremendous heart and conviction. Even as a young boy he overcame life's obstacles with fierce determination. Gone but never forgotten.

Yes, it has been a long 6 months without him. His favorite time of the year is comming around THANKSGIVING from what i remember and the math questions that I need help on... I cant call him to ask him about.. Once I called my mom recently and asked her.. "Mama whats uncle Jamie's number I need help with this algebra problem." She simply responded " He's not around here to help you with it but call your cousin to get help from her." Jamie is and always will be greatly missed and remembered. ILY Unk...

I just read your story and I don't know why but I felt a connection to you. Maybe because, like you, I also have a daughter or maybe because we started our Law Enforcement careers around the same time....

I feel a deep pain in my heart thinking of what your family must be going through.

To the Manor Family, know that Officer James Manor is a hero to all us!

Thank you for your sacrifice! I pray for you and your family, may God rest your soul.

Rest in Peace

To Officer James Manor, his family members and friends who call him beloved, and to his law enforcement family:

I was sorry to learn of James' death and extend my sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you have suffered. Words are insufficient to describe the sadness I feel for the Manor family. May you find comfort in your faith and the support of the law enforcement community.

There are many police survivors who share this same journey with you, and that community will be there to support you. James' memory will be forever honored and revered.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the distinquished service James gave to his community and the citizens of Nevada and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on May 7, 2009.
