I AM A WARRIOR
by Jon F. Hooper

I fight not for glory or fame,
For they are momentary.
I fight for those who can't.
I fight for Justice.
I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden.
And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets,
For I serve to protect the innocent.
It matters not where or when,
For evil knows no boundaries.
Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny,
I will not flee.
Justice is my weapon.
Faith is my shield.
Hope is my armor.
Cry not at my passing,
For it was my Honor to fight for you.
Shed not tears of sorrow,
But tears of joy,
For now,
I stand with God.

Rest in Peace my Brother. May God bless you, your family, friends and all the members of the Pittsburgh Police Dept.

Our prayers go out to the fallen officers of Pittsburgh who lost their lives in this senseless act of violence. Being the wife of an Oakland Police Officer and mother to a Long Beach Motor Patrol Officer I know all too well that they selfishly put their lives on the line daily, knowing what could happen to them. The men and women in blue are true Heroes and make sacrifices like no other, facing their fears for the greater good. My family sends their deepest sympathies with plenty of prayers to the families of these brave men who gave their lives so gallantly. "When one falls, we all stumble." Peace be with all of you in this time of dark tragedy.

Spouse to Oakland Police officer/Mother to Long Beach Motor Patrol Off
