I only found out about this today. I had the pleasure of going through reserve with Nelson and working for EPD-Reserve. He always was funny and was a good cop.

On May 30, 1996, you changed our lives forever, and my sons and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Please know we think of you often, and still visit your final resting place, whenever we can. You stood up for us when most would not, and we'll never forget you for that. May God be with you, my friend.

Nelson- thinking of you as I put a picture of your name plate and pic of a fallen officer's memorial that my husband went to in my scrapbook. It's been almost 6 years since your watch ended, but it still makes me sad.
