God bless you sir and God bless the family.

This man spent his life dedicated to the preservation of humanity and protection of others. If he, being at that intersection at that time prevented a civilian from being injured or killed, while the rest of the world and especially his family will never be okay with this, Capt Bierwiler is.

Even when every day of my life I preach about our Holy Father calling his "Children home", and knowing that no matter how one passes into the next life, he or she will always be with GOD. It hurts me deeply each and every single time a Sister or Brother in Blue dies in the hands of or because the acts of one committing a crime. Capt. Scott Bierwiler, though you and I never met in person, I tell you, I can't wait to meet you up in Heaven.

Capt. Scott, you can rest now my son, because your brothers and sisters of the HCSO will now take over your watch here on earth. All your other Brothers and Sisters in Blue will now also help look after your family here on earth as is custom, so know that they will always be safe. You just enjoy your new tour of duty of walking the streets of heaven, where all is good until we all meet again.

To Capt. Scott's Family, be strong because he is now in a better place for he has met his maker.

To the Men and Women of the Hernando County Sheriff's Office, Stay strong, stay on track for your brother is now at rest. God Bless you all, My Prayers and thoughts will be with each and every one of you. If any of you need someone to talk to, as Always I will always be here; [email protected]

Our deepest sympathies to Scotts family and to the entire Sherrifs Dept. We met Scott thru Mike Maurer on several occasions while visiting Mike. We also spent some time with Scott on a couple of occasions when he came with Mike to Jersey. Really a Great Guy and we can only imagine the sorrow you all are feeling, especially his wife, children, mom and siblings.

I met Scott when he attended a Command Officer School hosted by Saint Leo University. Each time we met I could tell Scott was a future star in his agency. He was always pleasant and eager to participate in our group functions. His smile and friendliness will be missed. My condolences go out to his family and all members of the Hernando County Sheriff's Office that are grieving the loss of this outstanding member of the community.
