Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Detective Charles Edward Harris

He was my father and my hero. I only wish I had let his sacrifice mold me instead of break me. His love for his job went without bondres. Just like his love for his family and friends. It's been 31 years and that night will forever haunt my sleep, but I know one day we will get to be together again. I miss you so much big man.

My brother, may God bless you in your Heavenly home and your family still here on this earth. My mother and I spoke of you yesterday for a good hour or so. She was thankful to have had you as a partner and mentor in the Investigations Division and as a law enforcement officer. You were always known as a fine lawman of the old school and we should all aspire to be like you. You were a blessing to all who knew you. Until Valhalla my brother may you rest.

Det. Harris it gave me a sense of duty and held you in high honor today as I completed my letter to the North Carolina Parole Commission to stop any parole for that low life who took your life at the prime of your law enforcement career.
I know that many others will follow the same actions on your behalf.
May you rest in peace knowing that many, many officers are doing all they can to intercede on your behalf and for your honor.

You will never be forgotten my brother in uniform. Please hold us safe as you look down upon us as we carry on duties that took you from us too soon!

My No Parole letter is in the mail for the loser that took the life of Detective Charles Edward Harris. These people need to be so far back that sunlight and air has to be pumped to them. They have no respect for human life. God Bless you Brother and may you rest in peace. Thank you for your service.

RIP Officer. As a citizen of NC, my letter to deny parole to your cold-blooded killer will be sent. It is hard to understand why he is even up for parole with a sentence of life plus 60. May full justice be served and your ultimate sacrifice never forgotten.
