To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 118th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

Chief Harris, on this 115th anniversary of your murder, I wish to thank you for your 38 years in law enforcement. It’s not the sacrifice that makes you the hero, it’s all the work that lead up to that sacrifice that causes me to leave this reflection. You are a hero and your time in law enforcement was not in vain.

God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.
