My heart goes out to your loved ones, both your immediate family and your police family. As I read the details of your incident, it was as if I was reliving our tragedy of 4 1/2 years ago. What has our world come to that a person, particularly a police officer is not safe sitting in a parking lot or at an intersection???? Although we are seperated by thousands of miles, we are most certainly bound by this thin blue line and this inexplainable grief. God Bless you Sgt King. May you rest peacefully.

My heart goes out to Sgt. Kings wife and mother and father. I know your pain since my son Officer Tom Ballman, EOW 2/07/08 from Kirkwood Police Dept, was killed at the City Council Meeting.
At this time you must put your trust in your God and ask Him for all the help he can give you. As it has been said, If He can walk you to it, He will walk you through it. And this is so true.
May the coming weeks and months help to soothe the pain you are in now.

Dear Family, Friends and Co-workers of Sergeant King,

My heart goes out to you in this difficult time. He was a true hero, who put his life on the line every day, to make St. Louis and our country a better place. I feel your pain and know through my own experience that it will get easier through the love and support of our communities. I recently lost my brother, Sergeant Bill Biggs, this past February in the Kirkwood shootings. Without the support of the surrounding police departments and the loving support of the St. Louis and surrounding communities it would have been difficult to move on. We will never forget the sacrifice Sergeant King and others have made. God Bless you. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers along with my "Kirkwood Heros".
