Officer Shane Figueroa’s passing is a terrible loss and incredibly sad. I am deeply sickened by this tragedy and my heartfelt prayers go out to his wife and daughter, his parents and relatives, and his entire Law Enforcement family. As a civilian, my words of consolation somehow feel inadequate, at best.

Although we’ve never met, I want you to know that I will keep your family in my thoughts, and that I am just one of so many more who stand in gratitude and genuine support for all our Law Enforcement Officers and their loved ones.

God Bless your family, and God Bless all of you in Law Enforcement as you continue in your heroic and difficult mission.

Thank you Officer Figueroa for your service. You are a true heroe and will never be forgotten! I come from a family of civil servants and understand the pain of losing a family member far too early. Thank you to your entire family for protecting our city and surrounding area. Let Officer Figueroas' live. May his daughter know his strength, greatness and heroism in years to come.
