Reflections for Police Officer Nathaniel Taylor, Jr.

Sorry for your loss. What a real shame. I have been on warrants many times and have had subjects show up. I hope the shooter gets the death penalty if it is available.

Nate,
I didn't know you, but I know that we definitely lost a shining star that day. I played music at your funeral service, and in that church I witnessed the coming together of different races and religions in your honor. You gave us your life, you give us hope.

Fear Not Friends Nathaniel is Now Home,
I Have Summoned Him To My Throne.
For Your Emptiness On Earth Is Puzzling,
May His Presence Here In Heaven Be Comforting.
His Earthly Journey and Worries Were Put To Rest,
The Ultimate Sacrifice Was His Last Test.
Now Donning Wings To Spread and Soar,
To Be An Angel For So Many More.
Grieve Shortly Of His Bodily Loss,
But Know He Is Here With Me,
With Wings From The Cross.

"Final Call"

An Angel In The Sky Must Leave His Place Of Rest,
Gently Tucking His Wings Beneath His Armored Vest.
For Duty Has Called, There Is Much Work To Do
Little Did He Know, This One Is Dressed In Blue.

Arriving On The Scene, He Knows Just What To Say,
"Follow Me, Fallen Brother, I'll Show You The Way."
"Your Duty Has Ended, Your Work Is Now Through."
"Come Hang Your Hat Beside Mine, I'm A Cop, Too."

May you rest in Peace My brother, you will always be remembered.
