As your department patch states, you sir are the pride of Texas. Your devotion to duty and service clearly shows you were a true public servant. When others with your years of service would have left and retired before the hurricane, you chose to stay. This is just an example of your heroism.
I thank God for people like you. Those who care so much for their fellow man that they go above and beyond even their fellow officers.
