Godspeed Sir...Go in Peace

Ptn. R. Murphy

September 23, 2008

Adam said it best himself: "Live so that one day when you're gone, it would have mattered."

Adam was raised in a Christian home with great God fearing parents. I take comfort in knowing that when Adam left us, he took his place in Heaven.

My thoughts and prayers are with Adam's family and our law enforcement community.

Psalm 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee.
Nahum 1:7 The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in Him.
Matthew 5:4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

In a World full of Sheep and Wolves, you and you're brothers of the Highway Patrol must make the ultimate sacrifice as the Sheepdog: To watch over the vulnerable and unprotected to the point of giving your life. You served well, and your name brings honor to the brotherhood that is the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

As it is said:

"Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake, whether to the king as supreme,
or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good.
For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men—

as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God.

Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king."
-1 Peter 2: 13-17

"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends."
John 15:13

Thank you Deputy Klutz for your honorable selfless-service, commitment to serve, oath to protect, and devotion to duty. You will not be forgotten. Watch over those brothers and sisters in brown, grey, and blue, who continue to walk the thin blue line. My heart aches for your family. This is our worst fear. Lord, lift them up during this difficult time.

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand"
Isaiah 41:10

For he is God’s servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God’s servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Romans 13

You were God’s servant Deputy Klutz and have paid the ultimate sacrifice. It has been an honor to even know your name and to have served within the Law Enforcement Community along side you. God has taken another true warrior to patrol the streets of heaven. May God bless you and your family; we’ve got the watch from here. Rest in Peace Brother.

I AM A WARRIOR
by Jon F. Hooper

I stand with God. I fight not for glory or fame,
For they are momentary.
I fight for those who can't.
I fight for Justice.
I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden.
And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets,
For I serve to protect the innocent.
It matters not where or when,
For evil knows no boundaries.
Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny,
I will not flee.
Justice is my weapon.
Faith is my shield.
Hope is my armor.
Cry not at my passing,
For it was my Honor to fight for you.
Shed not tears of sorrow,
But tears of joy,
For now,
I stand with God.
