You have our deepest sympathy on the loss of your son. On the day your son gave his life in the line of duty, we buried ours for giving his life in the line of duty, both were the same age. Believe me when I say I feel your pain, I know exactly what your going through, as only a mother and father suffering from the same consequence could, literally. I know how proud you were of your son, he is and always will be a hero to all in the law enforcement community and their families. Please accept our very deep heartfelt sympathy, words just don't seem like enough to ease the pain I know your going through.

Adam was truly a amazing person. He had such a warm kind heart and he made everyone laugh. Losing him will be something that we'll all feel for sometime and he will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him. I will never forget Adam and I will miss his laugh. I will also miss the joy he brought to church everytime he entered. I will alway remember how proud he looked in his police uniform. Adam always made me feel safe.

Deputy Klutz, what valor in one so young! Yet I believe of all officers that bravery and service are a part of who you are, not something you develop. Becoming an officer is fulfilling a calling. Thank you for your commitment to justice. Peace to your parents and all whose lives you touched. May they find comfort in their memories of you and most importantly in God, who loves you and them too.

Fear Not Friends Adam is Now Home,
I Have Summoned Him To My Throne.
For Your Emptiness On Earth Is Puzzling,
May His Presence Here In Heaven Be Comforting.
His Earthly Journey and Worries Were Put To Rest,
The Ultimate Sacrifice Was His Last Test.
Now Donning Wings To Spread and Soar,
To Be An Angel For So Many More.
Grieve Shortly Of His Bodily Loss,
But Know He Is Here With Me,
With Wings From The Cross.

I last spoke to Adam, Sunday September 14th after church. I never imagined that day would be the last hand shake we would share in this lifetime. Adam, you are deeply loved by your friends and family and your presence here will surely be missed. Someday my friend, we will shake hands again. Until that time comes, rest well and godspeed.

Many thanks to all law enforcement officers wherever you may serve!

I had the pleasure of being one of Adam's instructors in Basic Law Enforcement Training. Sadly, I also had the extreme Honor of leading the portion of the Honor Guard that fired his 21 gun salute. You touched many people with how you lived your life. Your family and co-workers will remain in our prayers.

I AM A WARRIOR
by Jon F. Hooper

I stand with God. I fight not for glory or fame,
for they are momentary.
I fight for those who can't.
I fight for Justice.
I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden.
And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets.
For I serve to protect the innocent.
It matters not where or when,
For evil knows no boundaries.
Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny,
I will not flee.
Justice is my weapon.
Faith is my shield.
Hope is my armor.
Cry not at my passing,
For it was my Honor to fight for you.
Shed not tears of sorrow,
but tears of joy,
for now,
I stand with God.

Family, friends and coworker of Deputy Klutz...my thoughts and prayers are with you. I say a special prayer for the dispatcher/communicators that were on duty when this call came out. That is my greatest fear that something will happen to "one of my guys" during my watch. Hold on to the memories and each other and the promise that we will see our loved ones again one day!
