Dear Family of Sergeant Michael Weigand,

My heart breaks for you, 25 years is not enough, 75 would not be enough.......tomorrow will be 4 years that we have been without our beautiful, precious son. He so loved police work as I know you did, and I am so proud of what you stood for and your devotion to duty. Our Matt would have worked 24 hours a day if he could have, he didn't want to miss anything. Almost exactly one year ago we were having a memorial motorcycle ride and one of the boys in our PD also suffered a horrible wreck while riding. Truly we do not know what one day or the next holds for us. I know your hearts are broken and I am so sorry. We hold your precious son's life and sacrifice in our hearts and pray for strength to get you through the days ahead until you are all reunited.

With our love, the Rittenhouse Family

Michael, Jr was a Brother in Arms that will be sorely missed. He served with heart, passion, and a light hearted disposition that made him a pleasure to work with.

He will carry his sword and shield into the heavens with the same vigor he did on earth.

My condolences to his wife, daughter, and family as well as Latimore Twp. and Eastern Adams Regional police departments.

On behtlf of my family, I extend our sincerest condonlences on the grievous loss you have suffered when Sgt. Weigand was tragically killed.
