I knew Grant from my days at the county jail. His committment and dedication was always evident in the way he handled himself. Rest easy brother, the CO's and the Park Rangers will always have you as an example to follow.

To the family and friends of Officer Grant Jansen and the members of the St. Charles Police Department, and most
especially to Grant himself.

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condonlences on the grievous loss you have suffered when Grant was tragically killed.

To Grant's family, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and strength in your faith. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in the Bay Area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.

Heaven has another hero. In reading his reflections, I can see that Grant was an amazing man who was dedicated to his family and his profession.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the service Grant gave to his community and the citizens of Missouri, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on September 10, 2008

Grant was a wonderful father, husband and of course friend. From the moment we met Grant & Annette, we hit it off. Thru the years, our friendship has grown. Grant was such a loving dad, loved being a father. He was wonderful with his kids, Tyler & Paige, and he was the kind of man & friend that would do anything for you. He surely will be missed by many, by us and especially by his family the most. He will be in our hearts forever.
