Grant

I have always thought your name Grant equals greatness. It seems it does. If you look at the characteristics of US Grant and yours, you see many similarities. I miss you.

It was an honor to remember you and to meet your family yesterday as we started our journey across Missouri for Project Remember. May you never be forgotten my brother!!!!

I remember. We used to bump in to each other at the QT close to Lindenwood. You were always polite and professional. Our community lost, not only a good cop, but also a good man.

The death of two officers today, brought back painful memories for me. It reminded me of that horrible day we lost you. Man I Miss you. There have not been many people who have seem to get me and you were one of the few who did. Your death is a void in my life that will never be replaced.

Miss you terribly, the spring is coming and all the memorials start happening. I appreciate all of the hard work that goes into remembering our officers, but it is still hard to believe you are gone. I think of you all the time and will never stop. Your will to keep going and to never change course or to have a goal of purpose. Get up and keep going is what we have learned from you. I realize I never will be the same and that is ok. You are still an amazing brother, you are my HERO. I love you, forever blue. Sami

Grant, today I had the pleasure of having lunch with your beautiful wife Annette, and baby son lil Grant (who I also got the honor helping deliver). You have one amazing wife here, and she is so inspirational to me. Thanks for the honor of knowing you all.

Missing you watching "Wrath of the Titans" your kind of movie. I ask why are you not here. Why. It is so hard without you brother. Please give us a sign you are happy. Let us know we can be ok without you. I love you my brother. So much....forever blue.

Grant,

Today would have been your 46th birthday and no doubt you would have added a lot of comic relief about being an old man.
Your kids are wonderful and doing great. You are sorely missed. Your work goes on at the PD, where you will never be forgotten.
You never die if you live on in the hearts of those left behind.

i knew grant when he was a D.O.C. officer in st.chls. i liked him from day one, he was stearn and fair, but honest too. you knew where you stood w/ him, not a fake person. i liked that about him. when i heard he was a SCCPD officer, i was glad, i knew he wanted that. i would bump into grant around town, on and off duty, he was a good man, i miss him. i was shocked to hear about the accident that took his life, i even went to the 'site' and left an item next to his marker, by the roadway. i wear a shirt that says 'IN HONOR OF GRANT JANSEN, 202'. i hope he's looking down at us all. 'we miss ya grant!!" planning on going to the 'site' this weekend and 'say' afew words to him, maybe leave him a token. why is it always the good men and woman, that leave us early in life?? remember him always..... i will!! rick sr. st. chls,mo

I love you my great brother, others want to forget and has been told to me you weren't a super hero why the continuous honoring of one man. They didn't know you like I did and the others that loved you did. You are still a Hero and will not be forgotten. We will continue to help others in your name and your foundation. We will live our lives until we are united with you. I love you and miss you so much. Give us strength to continue without our Hero.....that is what matters.
