Your wife is so amazing. I know you are proud of the unending passion that she has to keep your memory alive. You gave everything for our state and our country, and she gives all that she has every day to honor you. You are very missed and loved. My heart breaks for your wife and daughter, but my face smiles when I see them and hear their love for you.

When I left my first reflection for Andrew, I was not aware of his military service to our country. His memory will always be honored and revered, and what a fitting final resting place for him in Arlington. My son Larry was his brother in green as well as his leo brother, so I must say Semper Fi to this true American hero.

AJ...we just got home from your service in Arlington. It was such a wonderful way to honor you! Now you are at rest with all of the Nation's Heroes. I hope the turn-out made you proud. The Honor Guard did such an amazing job and it was breathtaking to see them perform the ceremony. I know it was emotional for your wife, but everyone reminded her of what a great person, Trooper, and Soldier you were. We miss you...but it comforts us to know you are at rest in Arlington...you deserved it. God Bless.

I come to the ODMP often to remember my late fiancé Dennis. Everytime I come here it breaks my heart to know that yet another officer has fallen and that yet another family has to live their lives without the man they loved. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Trooper Stocks. Know that you are not alone in the "journey" that you walk. Should you ever need anything please don't hesitate to contact me. The Davis Co. Sheriff's Office in Iowa will always know how to reach me. I can also be found on face book. You will be in my thoughts.

From reading the reflections left for Andrew, he sounds like he was a great man with a beautiful spirit. Those of you who knew him in life were so blessed to have been able to share in it. I hope that you will all continue to find a way to celebrate and remember Andrew's life and the MAN that he was. Remember that Andrew's life was about so much more than the way he died. Andrew will continue to live on as long as we continue to remember him.

Trooper Stocks, thank you for helping to make this world a little safer for us all. YOU will not be forgotten. Please continue to watch over all of us as only you can. If you happen to bump into my late fiancé Dennis up there give him a big hug for me and the kids. It's been almost six years but we still miss him terribly.

Wishing you brighter and better days,

Jocelyne :)

I knew Andrew for many years as his parents are my friends and neighbors. I was there when he graduated from high school with my son. He was on duty as an EMT and administered to my wife in 1990 when she suffered a heart attack. After Andrew's tour with the Marine Corps, we developed a friendship that placed us both under the law enforcement umbrella as he became a NC State Trooper and I being a former FBI Agent. I can not say enough complimentary things about Andrew but if God needed a Trooper He selected the best.

I knew Trooper Stocks as SFC Stocks while deployed to Q-West, Iraq with the Army. Like many in the unit, he mentored me, pushed me to excel, and demanded the same level of perfection that he had. With SFC Stocks at the helm, out unit accomplished truly amazing feats in the Iraqi theater. Our unit returned to US soil on September 1, 2007 and were released to return home on September 15, 2007.

SFC Stocks was a true friend. I will sorely miss not being able to see his smiling face again during this life and look forward to seeing it in the next. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and child, whom I know he loved with all his heart (he a kept a picture of each on his desk while in Iraq, along with other keepsakes from them).

It's time for you to rest, Brother, for those of us still in Blue and Green hold the torch aloft. Watch over us standing sentry.

My sincerest condolences to Mrs. Stocks and his child.
