To Chris Kane's Family,

My condolence to you on the loss of one of Jacksonville's finest police officers. My squad had the opportunity to spend time and talk with Chris a couple of hours before his passing.

It has been a Privilege to have known and worked with Chris. May he rest in peace.

Chris,

I just saw you at joint roll call. You were the same happy person that most of us usually see from you. You made it a point to stop and talk to most if not all us this day. It is a very sad day to lose an officer of your caliber. You were a great officer and very professional. My prayers go out to you and your family in this time of need. Thank you Chris for everything you did for this department and our community. You will be greatly missed. Brother, your watch here on earth is over, we will take it from here! God bless you and RIP brother!
