On Monday, America lost one of our very few who actually step forward, and make the very real effort to make a difference, and our nation and our world became a bit lesser of a place.

On that same day, Our Lord in Heaven welcomed into paradise one of our heroes. I hope that his loved ones can find some comfort in knowing this. Officer Dyer, my heartfelt thanks for your service, and your sacrifice. With more than 18,000 fallen heroes to reside with, you will certainly be in good company.

My prayers for strength and comfort in this loss go out to loved ones and coworders of Officer Dyer. May Almighty God and Our Lord Jesus be with you.
