As a correctional officer, I have escorted many inmates out to the hospital. It is probably the most dangerous position a C/O can be in. I salute you for your service.

Officer Ruby, you took an oath to protect and serve the citizens of Missouri and this great country. In the performance of duty, you made the ultimate sacrifice. There is no greater example of honor. May your loved ones, friends, co-workers find peace. May the citizens realize the sacrifice made by the law enforcement officers every second of every day.

The Bible says "Greater love has no man than this to lay down his life for his friend." I wonder how much more love is displayed when a man lays down his life for those he does not even know. May god be with your family in this time of need. Thank you for your dedicated service. You will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace Brother.

Monte, You were one of the nicest officers I had ever met, even if it was only twice. You and the other Cox officers help us ER Staff every day with violent and mentally unstable people that come into the ER, and we are thankful for your support. You have served and protected in one of the most thankless roles, public safety and security. Most people would not believe hosptial security could be filled with danger. But those of us that work in the field know that it wasn't abnormal to fight with someone every day. Thank you for doing this thankless job. You were a true "Good guy".
