Somos por siempre agradecidos Orlando,

I lost my best friend/brother Officer Wayne Clark on January 10th, 2006 after twenty three years. We severed together for nineteen years. I hope everyone understands the pride Orlando had while doing what he loved. I pray for those he left behind and know that he still love you and will be with you everyday. I understand the pain, but know that the hurt will diminish. It will never stop but his memory will also be yours to keep for ever. Remember his smile and love for each and everyone.

During a bad time when I missed my partner I think of a poem “Pennies from Heaven”. I think of this poem when I find a penny. I think;
today on the ground I found a penny, but not just a penny.
This penny was from an Angle in Heaven.
When the Angle misses you and
he will just tosses one down just to cheer you up.

Take a moment and smile and save the penny. You to will find that Orlando will send you pennies. These pennies are from your Angle in Heaven.

No te precupes hermano, nosotros seguiresmos la lucha el mal en tu nombe. Que Dios te vendiga a ti y tu familia.

To those who loved Agent Gonzalez-Ortiz, my heart goes to you all, especially to his fiancee. Know that you're not alone in this journey you walk. I lost my fiance in the line of duty January 2003 and my world was forever changed. It's been a long hard road, and even as time as gone forward, and I've found many reasons and ways to smile, I still have not forgotten the man that he was. Dennis was a beautiful person and he forever has a part of my heart, just as I'm sure Orlando will always be a part of yours.

It takes a special person to put their lives on the line everyday to make this world a little safer for us all. I know many of these men never would've thought of themselves as "heroes" but they were in so many ways. It's sad that it they had to lose their lives for some of us to see that. Having said that, thank you Agent Gonzalez-Ortiz for helping to make this world a better place. You will not be forgotten here in Winnipeg. I know this isn't a very manly thing to do, but if you happen to run into Dennis up there, please give him a big hug for the kids and I. Dennis was a good man and we miss him more than words can say.

Wishing those who loved you brighter and better days,

Jocelyne

PS: To Orlando's fiancee, know that you always have a friend here in Winnipeg. If you ever need to talk to you can find me on face book or get in touch with me through the Davis County Sheriff's Office in Iowa. *HUGS*

To the family and friends of Agent Orlando Gonzalez-Ortiz and the members of the Puerto Rico Police Department, and most especially to Orlando:

On behalf of my family, I extend our sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you suffered when Orlando was tragically killed.

To Orlando's family, my heart goes out to all of you and may you find comfort in your loved ones and your strength in your faith. Orlando was such a handsome young man and I know he is dearly missed, and your lives are forever changed. When my son was killed, the entire law enforcement community in the Bay Area embraced us in a circle of love and support, and I know you will receive the same support. It makes the unbearable less torturous, and I pray for your solace.

This reflection is sent with the utmost respect for the service Orlando gave to his community and the citizens of Puerto Rico, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on August 7, 2008

Dear Puerto Rico, 13 days since our beloved Landy left us because of gun shots still to see if they came from our local Police or the FBI. Until now the investigation is unclear. We are praying to God that things clear up, because he was, and still is our hero. We know that everything is confusing and we hope that our nation (US) use the capable personnel so Orlando Gonzalez Ortiz's demise clears up. There was no coordination in the events that ended in such tragedy.

Again, we are waiting for things to be explain, so Landy rest in peace. Who shot him? Was it an error? Why? Orlando hurted no one!

Oh God, may this be solved soon. We are waiting for the results.
