Your heroism and service is honored today, the 71rst anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service to my home state and the birthplace of my son. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect and your memory will always be honored and revered

Chief Pope, this was before my time but I would like to say thank you for your service to the City of Hollandale, Mississippi. Thank you paid the highest debt that any Law Enforcement Officer can be expected to pay. You gave you life paving the way for the younger generation of Law Enforcement Officers so that maybe over time people will have greater understanding and tolerance for the Police Officer who is trying to "Protect and Serve" the people.

Thank you.
