We Remember the Officers
We remember the officers who changed our lives,
The men and woman who protected us day and night,
People who respect for their dedication to the cause,
For when faced with danger, they never even pause.
We remember the officers who always stood true,
Whatever the color of uniform, brown gray or blue,
With pride and integrity they say To serve and protect,
For the giving of their life, we offer our respect.
We remember the officers who we never really knew,
Persons strong enough to answer the challenge are few,
With heavy hearts we mourn the officers in eternal rest,
There's more to these people than the badge on their chest.

I fight not for glory or fame, for they are momentary. I fight for those who can't. I fight for Justice. I fight for the oppressed and the down trodden. And if I should lose my life for these just causes, then I have no regrets, For I serve to protect the innocent. It matters not where or when, for evil knows no boundaries. Be it fire, flood, or the threat of tyranny, I will not flee. Justice is my weapon. Faith is my shield. Hope is my armor. Cry not at my passing, for it was my Honor to fight for you. Shed not tears of sorrow, But tears of joy, for now, I stand with God

So much value given to us by these brave and willing public servants, and so little thanks given them by us. Why does it take the ultimate sacrifice to make us mindful of what they do every day and what risks they face in serving to make our vital system of justice work for us.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 4th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

I pray for the solace of all those that love and remember you for I know both the pain and pride are forever. Thanks to your family and friends for sharing their devotion to you through their reflections.

Your mom misses you so much.

CORRECTIONAL OFFICER'S PRAYER

Lord, when it's time to go inside,
That Place of steel and stone.
I pray that you will keep me safe,
So I won't walk alone.

Help me to do my duty,
Please watch me on my rounds.
Amongst those perilous places,
And slamming steel door sounds.

God, keep my fellow Officers
Well and free from harm.
Let them know I'll be there too,
Whenever there's alarm.

Above all when I walk my beat,
No matter where I roam.
Let me go back whence I came,
To family and home.

Officer Rivera, please keep a watchful eye on us while we conduct our daily duties and keep us safe from harm.

You will always be remembered my brother. We will put on the uniform and walk the beat every day in your honor. It is a shame you had to work for an agency that did not want to equip you with the tools to do your job. You will always be in our hearts and we will continue to walk this beat in you honor.
