My deepest thoughts and prayers are with Deputy Boehm's wife, children, family, friends and co-workers. I was married to Alabama State Trooper Brian Nichols EOW 2/17/2002 and I am now married to Washington County Deputy Sheriff Aaron Carpenter. All of your COPS family is here for you and hurting for you. We all became a family when our loved ones became police officers and now we have even a stronger bond when one of our family members go down. We are here for you to help you along this journey you now have joined with us. God bless you all.

My heart goes out to this deputy's family and this first class police agency. As a young Marine many years ago, an Onslow County deputy could've strung me up with a few tickets, instead he let me off with a stearn warning. In 2006 I stopped into their S.O. and traded patches and everyone I met was genuine true blue. Keeping a good thought for all of you during this awful time.

Officer Boehm died a HERO. I am not a police officer, but have had a life long dream of erning the right to wear the badge and uniform after I retire from the Navy in a few years. Many Americans might say we in the military are heros. I say we are not, the true heros are the men and women in the patrol cars or on the beat, who sacrafice so much to keep us all safe. I may not have know Officer Boehm, but he is a fellow brother in arms. Thank you for your service brother, forever in my mind, you will be a HERO.

Respectfully,

Steve was a great man, Many a summer he spent on my shif in the jail. Steve was the type of person who would take any job assignment and run with it. It saddens my heart to hear of his death. The county has lost a dedicated deputy. His friends have lost a man who cared about them. His family has lost a great father and husband. No matter what the situation Steves quick sense of humor, smile and cheeky laugh will be missed but never forgtten. Steve we do and always will love you.
