My heart breaks for your family & the family of the fallen firefighter. I know too well the pain they are going through as my first husband was also killed in the line of duty when he was struck by a tractor trailer while on a vehicle stop on I-40 (as was one of the drivers he had stopped). I just can't understand why people don't pay attention to what they are doing when they are driving..especially when they are driving such a large vehicle. May the Lord wrap his loving arms around your family & carry them through the difficult days ahead. There are many survivors here in N.C. that will help in any way we can. Thanks for your service Deputy Boehm!

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of this fine officer. I was a MP at Camp Lejeune in the early 80's and some years later in my civ career, I was a Swansboro NC police officer there in Onslow County. The men and women of the OCSD are fine people. We share in your loss. Rest easy Deputy Boehm, we have the watch from here brother. To the family, friends and colleagues of this good man, my heartfelt condolences.
My condolences on the loss of a fine firefighter too, my prayers are with the family, friends and colleagues. How very sad.

Thank You for your dedicated service may you NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!! Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free I'm following the path God has laid you see. I took His hand when I heard him call I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day to laugh, to love, to work, to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way I found peace at the close of day. If my parting has left a void then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss Oh yes, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and peace to thee God wanted me now; He set me free
