To Officer Hite’s Family

BLUE

No one can understand the loss,
No one can understand the pain,
It never seems fair that your loss,
is Heaven’s gain.

There never seems enough years
For your wounds to heal in time,
So, may God walk beside you,
and dry the tears of your Blue Line.

Thank you from the citizens,
Just friends he never knew,
May his life remain a symbol,
of a strong servant in Blue.

We are so sorry there are so many unstable, unpredictable, basically "sick" people out there for all of us including the police to have to contend with. We seem to protect the "insane's" rights, knowing fully well what they are capable of doing, and have to let them do their deed, before the law can legally apprehend them. I'm so sorry that your husband and father to your children and his mother have been subject to an example of this.
If you can sometime down the road get involved with a movement of getting these unpredictable, mentally derranged people off the street it would be a great service to them, honor your husband's untimely death and help protect the community as a whole.
We use to have institutions for them, but now they are out and about and protected to do what they want, until caught. Hopefully this deranged person who shot your husband will be behind bars or in a mental institute soon(if they have one).
Love from your friends in Oro Valley, Cynthia & Dan Hale
