Reflections for Police Officer Erik David Hite
Eric,
You will be sorely missed. My family grieves with yours and the legacy you leave is far greater than you will ever know. There are no words to express what your absence means to us, but we promise to continue the good fight until we are all joined together again.

Officer Hite,
I did not know you well before Sunday, but had the honor of meeting your family who honored you at the hospital. The deep love and respect they demonstrated for you while you fought to hold on told me everything I need to know about you. My neighbor ... a true friend. Always a ready smile, a wave and at time would just stop by to ask how we were doing. Welcomed us to this neighborhood when we were moving in. I feel like we've lost a member of our family. For all you wearing the uniform and badge, just remember, we who are no longer in uniform grieve with you and with his beautiful family. Our love goes out to him and his family.
