Your heroism and service is honored today, the one hundred and fortieth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

Sheriff DeLisle,
As a dispatcher here in your town of Marshall, Texas, I wish to leave my reflection of your sacrifice that you made so long ago. May God protect all of my officers that I send out to calls now and may your protecting presence find its way to your brothers and sisters in blue that are protecting the same city and county that you once patroled.
