Reflections for Deputy Sheriff James Edward Throne

Rest In Peace, Deputy Throne.

Dear Amanda and family. It is with deep heartfelt sympathy that I write this. Our family knows very well these feeling. Dan may have known James as he also worked in Taft. It was there he was going when he died in an accident. The guys in Taft are tight. The PD, deputies and fire. It is a huge area they must service and together they get the job done. May you hold on to the memories and treasure the time you were blessed with. That is how we survive and stay close to Dan.
" Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends". John 15:13 And lay down their lives they surely did.

Thank you Deputy Throne for your dedication to your community and your family. I read the letter your wife wrote to the paper and it was so beautiful. It does take a special person to live with a law enforcement officer and she was obviously one of them. I hope that your family will continue to find comfort in your love of your job and your devotion to your family. Rest easy now with the others that have gone before you.

Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death and though I mark on duty, my calls unknown, I fear no evil, for the majority are with me, nor do I worry of my own safety, all of this I do for the citizens of my community. An Officer’s family can be filled with worry and though they are strong, they know that their loved one may be placed in harms way. Through this, they stand tall, with Pride, Integrity and Honor.

Though I have made mistakes, accept me, as I accept you and show me the way …..Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
