A man does his duty and this is how he get's paid? Shot twice for asking someone to be nice? Rest in Peace my brother and may I say, the citizens saw to it, the man who killed you did not get to live to enjoy it. I know it's a bit harsh to say but we need to return to the old laws that worked.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the one hundred and ninth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.
