Reflections for Chief of Police Josiah "Joe" Asher

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 88th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Rest In Peace.

What a sad and tragic case this is! I am honored to be among the first to leave a reflection honoring your bravery and courage. Although almost 84 years have passed since your tragic and brutal murder, your name is now known, you will FOREVER be a hero and will NEVER be forgotten again!
