To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 75th anniversary year of your death. I am priviliged to be among the first to leave a tribute to you. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Constable Godfrey, you have not been forgotten. Someone out there took the time to research your death so that your life could be honored.

This web site is world wide. You are now left for the ages to be honored and remembered as a man who gave the last full measure of service for his family, community and country.

For the family who descended from this man's honored heritage, remember how he lived, not why he had to die. Why people die is God's domain and not for us to understand. Carry on all that was good about this man so that his honor won't be diminished.

YOU ARE REMEMBERED TODAY AS YOU ARE ADDED TO THIS SITE OF FALLEN LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS. THANK YOU SIR FOR YOUR SERVICE AND DEDICATION TO LAW ENFORCEMENT AT 71 YEARS OLD. INDEED IT IS SAD THAT YOU HAVE NO STONE/MARKER. YOU ARE BLESSED TO BE WITH YOUR WIFE AND HOPEFULLY YOUR PARENTS ARE WITH YOU OR CLOSE BY. YOU ARE A HERO SIR JUST BY THE PROFESSION YOU CHOSE. GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU.
