I was cleaning out my office today when I came across the name and phone number of an officer who contacted me about a year ago while investigating a crime. My wife and I had long conversations with the officer. He was investigating a potential child abuse case concerning a friend of one of our children. He was very professional and courteous, and very interested in protecting the potential victim.

The name on the note I found was Harry Thielepape. It didn't take long for me to realize that the hard-working investigator was our fallen officer.

Rest in peace, Harry. Thank you for your service.

He was very pationate about his job as a police officer. But he had a soft side few people knew. He loved plants and was very serious about organic types of plants and foods. He spent alot of time and effort growing organic herbs and vegetables that i used to cook his meals. And he loved to cook, as well and was very good at it. Many occassions, he would fix breakfast and we would go out to the pool and sit and eat. He loved the outdoors, and it was his dream to one day finish the enclosure around his pool and garden so that he could live amongst the nature sanctuary he created. I'll miss my friend...

Corporal thank you for being there each and every time I called upon you for assistance in an arrest. Harry always said "he'd take care of it" and he did. He gave it his all, and executed every warrant I ever called him about. Many of the stories on the Pct. 6 website are about calls I made for Harry's help. Thank you for a job done with excellence and pride each and every time. My prayers are with your family and friends, it is truly a tragic loss.....
