Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer Randal David Simmons

Many tender memories soften your grief,
May fond recollection bring you relief,
And may you find comfort and peace in the thought
Of the joy that knowing your loved one brought...
For time and space can never divide
Or keep your loved one from your side
When memory paints in colors true
The happy hours that belonged to you.
~ Helen Steiner Rice

Officer Simmons

I heard of this tragedy while on my break at work. All I could think of is why. It should never have had to turn out this way. I will keep you, your family; both personal and professional; in my mind, thoughts and prayers. I send you and your family all of my respect for having accepted the real life risks of law enforcement. Your 27 years of doing so is not a favor that anyone could have asked of you. I wish you and you family peace as you begin your tour of duty in heaven. You are beyond deserving of all of Gods love. Make sure to watch over your loved ones and fellow officers. They will need it. Rest in peace!
